Have you considering homeschooling but worried you don't have the time or background knowledge to succeed? I have successfully homeschooled my son using the K-12 OHVA online public school program from kindergarten through his current grade, four. This experience has been immensely rewarding; he is reading and comprehending at a high school level and has developed strong self-management skills for following a schedule and completing assignments. Students in the program typically attend two live classes daily on their provided laptop from Monday through Thursday. I would like to extend this successful model to a few other parents by offering my services as a dedicated learning facilitator aka "Learning Coach". Rather than navigating the morning rush to a large school, you would simply drop your child off at my home school. A Flexible and Supportive Daily Structure I will be responsible for ensuring students log into their live classes on time, providing one-on-one academic support during and after lessons, and enriching the day's curriculum to ensure comprehensive understanding. Integrated Daily Routine: The day includes structured time for learning, homework help, snack breaks, and a dedicated lunch time. Time for Self-Regulation: Students will also have time for free play and supervised breaks, allowing them to decompress and socialize. Flexible Pickup for Working Parents: Parents have the option for their child to stay until they finish work and are able to pick them up, offering a stable and reliable solution for busy schedules. Beyond the Curriculum The benefits extend far beyond the daily lessons: Customized Learning: I can tailor the everyday learning experience to your child's interests through special themed days and in-depth exploration, which is impossible in large classes. Community & Enrichment: I will organize educational field trips and we can attend OHVA meet-and-greet events, allowing students to socialize with their online classmates in person.
