A Philosophy of Agency

I am a purpose-driven educator who views the classroom not as a room, but as a dynamic ecosystem. Leveraging a background in Psychology and Sociology, I specialize in creating high-trust, bespoke learning pathways that prioritize student Agency and Neuro-inclusion. My practice is rooted in the belief that joy is a prerequisite for cognitive flow, and I am dedicated to nurturing a "rainbow of possibilities" through radical empathy and evidence-based pedagogy.

The Journey: Resilience & Connection

"I deeply respect anyone looking to grow, no matter what cards life has dealt them. People are people, regardless of their circumstances—and everyone deserves a space where they can thrive." GG

My path has been defined by a "growth mindset" and a commitment to family. My wife and I (partners since 2006) have navigated a wide spectrum of experiences—from the suburbs of Orange County, to city the streets of Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas, NV, to the heart of Ohio. This journey has taught me to be highly adaptive and deeply inclusive of different lifestyles, cultures, and neurodiversities.

In recent years, my "classroom" has been my home. I have spent years homeschooling my son—guiding him to a high school reading level by age eight—and providing a specialized, inclusive education and environment for my teenage sister-in-law following a period of profound family loss. These experiences haven't just made me a mom; they have made me an Inclusion Specialist who understands that there is no "one-size-fits-all" lesson plan.

The Next Chapter: Uruguay

My family and I are currently transitioning our lives to moving to Uruguay. We are seeking a lifestyle that reflects our values: nature-centric, family-oriented, and progressive.

Our goal is to settle on a ranch-style property where I can tutor English and contribute to a local "Learning Village"—a community that values the environment as much as academic excellence; eventually opening up a Neuro-Inclusive English School of my own. Moving with our 4 beloved dogs, 1 cat, and our 2  children, we are eager to integrate into a forward-thinking school community that views the natural world as a vital classroom and joy as "life’s medicine."
